THROUGH IN-HOUSE DEVELOPMENT
In the field of electric drive technology, we rely on in-house development to create innovative and customer-oriented solutions. Our development approach focuses on small, compact and easy-to-integrate drive units that can handle a variety of motion tasks in automation applications.
We cover the entire development process, from mechanical design and electronics development to software development. As a result, we have a direct influence on the functionality of our products and can also offer individual solutions. With integrated stepper or servo motors, sensors and industrial electronics, we offer the right components for your automation applications.
FLEXIBLE AND SHORT DELIVERY TIMES
THANKS TO IN-HOUSE PRODUCTION
Our drive units are manufactured on a project-specific basis in our own production facilities and combined individually. This results in solutions that are precisely tailored to our customers' automation tasks.
To minimize our dependencies and ensure short delivery times, we source as many components as possible from suppliers in Germany and the surrounding European countries. We also maintain an extensive stock of critical components.
QUALITY
The management audit according to ISO 9001:2015 on Oct. 17, 2018 confirmed that Gunda Automation GmbH meets the required management standards as described in the valid ISO 9001. Gunda Automation therefore receives the corresponding certificate from QAS.
All processes, from the determination of customer requirements to the dispatch of finished products, are subject to the regulations of our quality management system.

OUR CONTRIBUTION-
TO THE PRESERVATION OF NATIVE FORESTS
To reduce our carbon footprint, we have decided to use a tree subscription with "Travel&Tree" from April 2024. This means that three trees per Gunda employee will be planted regionally in Germany every month.
This currently means 30 trees per month or 360 trees per year. We are striving to increase this number and invite you to participate through our job offers.
With this initiative, we are making a significant contribution to environmental protection and reforestation in our region. The trees not only help to bind CO2, but also promote biodiversity and improve the microclimate. We are proud to be part of this sustainable project and look forward to making even more positive changes for our environment in the future.
By planting trees regularly, we are actively contributing to environmental protection and improving our carbon footprint. Every single tree plays an important role in preserving our nature and makes a small but significant difference. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute through our involvement with Travel&Tree and look forward to seeing how many more trees we can plant together to make our world a greener and more liveable place.

THE KOLIBRI
The small, shiny metallic bird from the tropics of America masters its unique whirring flight with the utmost precision. It easily achieves 40 to 50 wing beats per second. Hummingbirds are not only characterized by their ability to "stand on the spot", but also by their impressive ability to fly backwards or sideways with the same precision.
They can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h and achieve accelerations of up to 10 times the acceleration due to gravity.
Epitomizing precision, accuracy and performance, the hummingbird gave its name to our products.

On August 21, 1995, Gerhard Dzubiel founded the company GUNDA-Electronic in Maybachstrasse in 88094 Oberteuringen.
1996
Start of series production of the Colibri - Generation 1
2006
Relocation of the company headquarters to larger premises in Friedrichshafen; development of the Colibri - Generation 2 with 32 bit
2008
Expansion of the product portfolio with linear units
2011
Change in management: Manfred Müller takes over the management from Gerhard Dzubiel on March 1, 2011.

New corporate identity for GUNDA Electronic GmbH; first presentation at MOTEK Stuttgart

The drive technology division of Gunda Electronic GmbH has experienced extremely positive development in recent years. In order to be able to focus more on customer-specific solutions and new technologies in this successful area, the drive technology division will be transferred to an independent company on April 1, 2017: Gunda Automation GmbH.
This reorganization will enable us to make more targeted investments, drive forward new technologies in the field of drive technology more quickly and expand our product portfolio in line with our customers' needs.
